Mission Creek Correctional Institute

A new 116-bed housing unit was added to the Mission Creek Corrections Center for Women Campus, a minimum-security facility located in a remote area south of Bremerton.

A gently sloping roof provided natural lighting and open space for the shared dayroom. The 13,700 square foot expansion is the first LEED® Silver certified building on the Campus. The heavily wooded site was cleared, and a large on-site septic system was installed.

The superintendent at Mission Creek Corrections Center informed us that inmates loved the new building so much because of its openness and design that living there was reserved for inmates as a reward for good behavior.
